Slow Cooked Pot Roast and French Bread
Pot Roast Recipe
Ingredients
- 32 ounces of beef broth
- 5 pounds of pot roast
- 1/2 cup of flour
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp butter
- 6 red potatoes – diced
- 1 cup of carrots – chopped
- 1 cup of zucchini – sliced
- 1 small onion – diced
- Salt & pepper to taste
Directions
- Mix 1 cup of beef broth with flour, Worcestershire sauce, and butter.
- Place broth mixture, remaining beef broth, and pot roast into crock pot and cover with lid. Cook for 3 hours on high or 6 hours on low.
- Turn over pot roast. Place veggies into the crock pot and add some salt and pepper to your preference. I also added seasoning salt. Cook for either 1 hours on high or 2 hours on low.
French Bread Recipe (Bread Machine from Hamilton Beach)
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 3 1/2 cups American bread flour OR 2 1/4 cups Canadian bread flour
- 2 tbsp ground flax seed
- 1 1/2 tsp bread machine yeast
Directions
Select setting according to your bread machine & enjoy a few hours later with your pot roast.
