Our Save the Date Magnet
We took our Save the Date photos in September and sent them out about 10 months before the wedding date. According to wedding timelines, this is pretty early, but we already had family and friends asking what day so they could plan their vacations. Tyler’s grandma is going on a quilting cruise to Alaska and gets back the morning of our wedding.
The Photos
I got inspiration for our poses from Pinterest, of course. You can see my wedding pins on my Wedding board. Our friend and old roommate, Cathy Patt took these photos at Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, WA – home of the 2015 US Open.
The Shirts
Originally our dog, Hank, was going to be in the pictures. We bought 3 Seahawks shirts from Jacknut, including an extra large t-shirt for our big St. Bernard. Hank passed away early and unexpectedly, so we waited to get the photos until we had our new puppy months later. Sherman, our new puppy, was about 100 pounds smaller than Hank was when he passed away, so we couldn’t use the third shirt.
It will be fun to see Sherman grow in the pictures, but I really wish Hank was still with us. We will be taking engagement pictures soon and Sherman will be about 60 pounds bigger since the Save the Date photos!
The Magnets
We wanted magnets because people won’t lose them and they’re easier to hang on your fridge. I was surprised how many people liked the magnets. Some people had never seen magnet save the dates before, which was strange to me, but I have looked at a ton of wedding things this past year. We ordered them from Wedding Paper Divas (separate from The Knot Wedding Shop) and loved the way they turned out. Not a single error and we received the perfect sized envelopes to go with the magnets.
Sooo Great.
Just Perfect for you!
Sorry abt Hank and thank goodness for Sherman
Have a Happy Life
Thank you! We loved Hank while he was here for a short time. 🙁 I’m happy to say Sherman just turned two and is very healthy!
