6 Month Wedding Planning Checklist
Five months to go and my checklist on the Knot (which I HIGHLY recommend you signing up for – it’s free) says I have 52 items on my To Do list and 6 items are overdue. I feel pretty good about the progress we’ve made so far, but I also feel like I have a lot to do. Luckily, I have help and support. This is a great time to check in with the 6 month wedding planning checklist and see how we measure up.
We have the main pieces set in place: venue, ceremony menu, rehearsal dinner (by Tyler’s parents, not me, but I’m still counting it), design of centerpieces, save the dates, engagement photos, and day-of-wedding-coordinator. We also have these parts almost completed, as in they should be finished this week: honeymoon, DJ, invitation design.
With all that being said, we only have five months until the wedding so I wanted to see where we were in the planning process compared to the six month wedding planning checklist. Below is a helpful guide I created from a combination of sources listed at the end.
Two great books (and sources for this information) are How to Have a Fabulous Wedding for $10,000 or Less: Creating Your Dream Day with Romance, Grace, and Style and The Wedding Book: The Big Book for Your Big Day.
