Bachelorette Weekend: Dancing and Wine & Cheese Tour
This weekend was my bachelorette party. We started Friday night going out to Masa on 6th Ave. in Tacoma doing the more traditional dancing and drinking.
We woke up early the next morning to drive north for a wine and cheese tour on the Washington peninsula. As we pull up to the first stop, Finnriver Cidery, I realize my ID is in the wristlet I took dancing the night before… Which was an hour away.
My mom and friend’s mom were DDs for us that day, so my mom graciously drove all the way back to get it. I didn’t get to drink cider at the first place, but my friend and friend’s mom both bought me a bottle of cider to try at home.
So as my mom drove all the way back to my house, we continued driving north to another winery. My mom missed a couple places, but eventually met up with us again.
In total, we visited six places: Finnriver Cidery, Olympic Wine Cellars, Camaraderie Winery, and Harbinger Winery.
Camaraderie had the best outdoor spaces. I wish my backyard looked like this.
After all the wine and cheese, we drove to Sol Duc Hot Springs where we rented a huge cabin that slept 14 people. A few girls and the moms stayed back to make dinner while the rest of us soaked in the hot springs. We returned to the cabin for spaghetti dinner and lots of sweets, including a chocolate fondue fountain.
We played bachelorette games while everyone started to slowly fade into exhaustion. We went to bed fairly early and woke early, too.
For breakfast we had French toast. Then we hiked to the waterfall and soaked in the hot springs one last time before hitting the road.
I am lucky to have such great friends to plan a fun weekend and drive all the way around the peninsula for my Bachelorette!
