Mobile Phone Photography with Light

I’m traveling for work, so this week has been difficult to make time for the photography challenge. The plus side is I had a new area to photograph. Day 2 of the SITS Girls photography challenge was to use your mobile phone to tell a story and experiment with light. 

I am in the California farmlands and was surprised to find a lone palm tree on a dairy farm, next to a corn field. I’m sure this normal, but I thought it was uniquely beautiful. For this photo I stood in the shade of an old farm house. If I had more time, I would have taken photos of the tree from all angles to get the different light.
