Woodland themed baby shower and nursery
One of my college friends, Hannah, is due with her first baby tomorrow on her birthday. Both my friend and her husband love being outside and hiking, so their woodland themed nursery is a perfect fit! Below are photos of her nursery and two showers for their new son, Rowan.
A few of us friends threw a shower for her at her parents’ beautiful farm house. It was easy to make this a pretty shower, just because the house was so nice.
We looked on Pinterest for ideas of course for decorations and came up with some on our own. Below is the trail mix bar.
Here’s the mimosa bar. A few of us were secretly pregnant at the time of this shower and had to pour drinks early in order to hide our virgin mimosas!
The food we served was mostly all homemade: chili with all the fixins, pita and hummus, veggies, chips, and Caesar salad.
For dessert, some of our excellent baker friends made salted caramel cupcakes, cookies in the shape of onesies, and smores on a stick. So much good food!
We didn’t have to look for games because she didn’t want any cheesy games at the party. So, we opted for two quick games. The first was a bottle full of M&Ms. Everyone went around the room introducing themselves and guessing how many M&Ms were in the bottle. The second was guessing her due date and time on a cute calendar made by another friend.
I made these simple mountains that turned out really cute. I should have hung them on a wall so they were easier to see though.
Now the second shower we can’t take any credit for, but as you can see in the pictures it was super cute.
Everything is ready for baby Rowan to arrive, so now we are just waiting on him! Good luck Hannah. We all know you are going to be an amazing mom!
