Homemade baby gifts and family shower
I love receiving homemade gifts especially from really talented people! Tyler’s family is very creative and crafty. No macaroni necklaces here.
First of all, my sister-in-law and her cousin threw a super cute spring-themed shower with handmade decorations.
Tyler’s aunt made these colorful and soft burp cloths.
His grandma made this bird quilt. I love that she always includes a personalized note on all the quilts she makes. It was weird seeing my daughter’s full name for the first time. Still kinda weird even saying “daughter”.
Tyler’s great-grandpa made this cradle for him as a baby and it has been passed through the family for the past 29 years. The Seattle Mariners blanket was made by one of our high school teachers.
Clare made this ‘E’ that is perfect for her nursery of gray, teal, and purple. I used it in my mat photos too!
Although this is from a different shower, my friend Dena had this personalized Seahawks blanket made for Elyse. I’m not sure if we will take her to a game this season, but if we do, she will be ready! Of course, we could always use it while watching at home.
My grandma knitted Ellie three hat and shoes combos. I think my dad found the idea on a Facebook photo.
Since we are obviously huge dog fans, my friend’s mom (who also loves dogs) made us a dog bib that says, “Best Buddy” and a skunk one that says, “Little Stinker”.
This is one of the softest blankets I’ve felt and it was made by one of my best friend’s moms. I love the sherbet colors!
It’s amazing to see how loved our little girl already is with these gifts made by people we love. We definitely won’t need a shower if we have another child. We are so blessed!
