I’m so excited about the wrapping for my gifts this year. Usually I stick with brown kraft paper or kraft paper wrapping with a holiday print on it so it can easily be recycled. Wrapping paper with shiny parts, foil, and glitter often cannot be recycled.

Mindful Momma’s Instagram post inspired me. She wrote a blog, “Unique ways to make the gift wrap part of the gift,” with five different items you can use to wrap the gift and the receiver can use afterward too.

I would love new towels every year. For the name tags, I used leftover kraft paper wrapping, cut it with cute scalloped scissors, and punched a heart hole in it. Most of the tags are tied on with raffia.

I used flour sack towels because they are large, come in pretty colors, are easy to fold, and pretty inexpensive. All of my ribbons were leftover from presents I have received in the past.

They sell reusable snack and sandwich bags, as well as reusable liquid snack pouches (like for yogurt or applesauce). I love how much these can decrease waste.

The small snack bag size is perfect for gift cards and the sandwich bags fit t-shirts and baby clothes well. You can use multiple bags if you have lots of gifts that don’t fit in one bag.

I love this! I thought about sewing big bags for my grandchildren and just reusing every year, but I ran out of time. When I was little, my mom used the comics from the Sunday paper for gift wrap. It worked great!

Oh the bags are a cute idea! The comics are classic and colorful. 🙂

I'd love to hear your opinion (good or bad)!
