New Work / Life Schedule
Do you ever plan on going to the gym or going for a walk after work and then find excuses or feel like you should be spending your time doing something else? With our St. Bernard puppy at home I feel guilty leaving him alone more than necessary. I have been doing a quick, 30-minute work out after work (if I even go) and then rushing home. Today that’s all changing.
Now, I will go to work at 9:00am instead of 8:00am because I want to try a new schedule for myself and I think it will work better with my boss’ schedule. This morning I did a spin class from 5:45am – 6:30am, came home to eat breakfast, walk the dog, water the plants, and get ready for work. My mornings were already busy with everything just listed except the work out. I think it will be better to work out in the a.m. though so when I’m off work, I can go home and have already done my work out – no excuses needed!
I’m generally a morning person anyway, but getting the motivation to gym-it first thing isn’t my favorite. By morning person I really mean I love to wake up before anyone else, enjoy the quiet house with a cup of coffee and read blogs!
Hopefully soon our puppy will be more comfortable at home by himself and I won’t worry about him possibly peeing or eating things.
Maybe he’ll even let me nap with him after my workout… probably not!
